Healthseekers

To try and help our patients to keep active, our Health and Wellbeing personnel have made arrangements with North Warwickshire Borough Council for a new programme to encourage the general health and fitness of our local community.

We are pleased to announce, a new service called Healthseekers Membership.  This offers patients a twelve-week scheme with a 20% discount on their chosen membership, or activity (including exercise classes, gym, swimming, Indoor bowls, and strictly dancing tea dances).

To clarify this is a monthly membership or pay as you go per session with a discount of 20%.  This offer also includes a personalised gym induction and health MOT (Tanita scales) at the start of the membership to help set goals and track progress, but this is entirely optional.  There is no obligation for patients to continue with this scheme after the 12-week period.

There are more people at present with barriers such as anxiety, and depression than ever before and regular healthy exercise can help with this. Our elderly people that are isolated may benefit from a bowls or tea dance session. We also have patients that don’t meet the fitter futures criteria but wish to improve their fitness levels. NWBC Healthseekers – Health & Activity Pathway will address these barriers and support patients, creating a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Unlike fitter futures there is no BMI or weight criteria, and the service will be open to everyone.

Interested in this service?

If you would like to take advantage of this service, please contact us to book with one of our Health and wellbeing coaches and ask to be referred. They will then review your case and refer you providing that you do not have a medical condition that would prohibit you from safely using this exercise program.

Please be aware that we will need to share with the leisure centre you name, address, dob, email address and phone number. Once this has been done you will be contacted by the leisure centre to complete the referral process.
