WE'RE MAKING IT EASIER FOR YOU TO FIND OUT HOW WE HANDLE YOUR INFORMATION.
A new data privacy law is being introduced this year in the UK. As a result, we will be publishing a new Privacy Notice on the 25th May 2018, to make it easier for you to find out how we use and protect your information. We won't be changing the way we use your personal information but the new notice will provide you with additional details such as:
Our Data Protection Officer is Paul Couldrey.
We are now offering online services. You will have access to the following any day, at any time:
Our practice hosts the following services and clinics:
Child Health & Immunisation
Our immunisation clinics are held on Tuesday afternoon 13.00 - 15.30 and Wednesday morning 09.00 - 11.30 for vaccinations only, and by appointment only. It is important that all pre-school children are fully immunised.
Development Health Checks
Please call 712208 for days and times of the clinics. Weighing and advice are given by the health visitors at the early years centre.
This is performed under local anaesthetic as arranged with your doctor, usually after morning surgery.
New Patient Medical Checks
All new patients to our practice are required to make arrangements via the receptionists for a new patient medical check-up. This will be undertaken by either the practice nurse, a doctor or our healthcare assistant. You must have a medical before you are accepted onto the doctor's list.
The family doctors all provide antenatal care alongside the community midwife
Family Planning Clinic
Family planning advice is offered by all doctors.
Mental Health Counselling
To attend one of these clinics please ring our reception on 01827 713664.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
Enter all or part of your postcode in the box below and click one of the buttons
